December Already?

Wow, is it December already? I can't believe how fast time flies. As I write this, Caylyn is 10 weeks old. She is such a good baby and is interacting with all of us more and more every day. Her face lights up when you catch her eye and she has the cutest toothless grin. Caleb is always trying to hug and love on her. He has started to say "I love Caylyn so much. I really love her." This is new. Last month he only "liked her a lot".

Caleb had to get new clothes this month as he has grown out of all his pants and long sleeve shirts. Here he is sporting his new sweat pants and all the shuttle stuff Nanny sent him.

Caleb loves to play with baby sister. It will be so much fun when she can play too!

Nanny came to see us for Thanksgiving. Caleb loves Nanny so much. The day she left he asked where she was and I told him she went home to Florida. Then he said "I need her". So cute!

Highlights from Nanny's trip to California: Church in Santa Barbara, Lunch on State Street, an afternoon at El Cap State Beach, Fishing, Going to the playground and throwing rocks, Thanksgiving dinner, Buying Christmas decorations and putting up the tree, and 3 days spent at home because we all got a really bad cold.

Caleb loves to go to the library right now. Here he is with one of his favorite books, "Frog and Toad are Friends". We get the books on CD and listen to them in the afternoon and in the car. He is growing up so fast. He can sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Jesus Loves Me, and his favorite, the ABC's. Check out the video's at the end of this blog.

Here is Caylyn looking so cute. She loves to sit in her activity chair and bat at the toys with her fists.

Well, that's it for November! Check back after the first of the year to see Caylyn's first Christmas.

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!
Caleb had so much fun this year trick or treating.
We went to our friends neighborhood to walk in the costume parade, trick or treat door to door, and enjoy some good food. Caleb was lightning McQueen this year! He loved his costume, after some convincing, but had to take it off after the parade. He said, "Lightning McQueen is hurting me." I guess the costume was a little too heavy for him. His favorite part about the day was going door to door to get candy, although when we asked him what he was going to do with all the candy he said, "Hmmm, I don't know." So glad we are not having to deal with him wanting to eat it all because by the end of the night he could barely carry his bucket.

Well that is it for October. Take care!

This month was great and we were so glad my mom was able to stay for so long and help us so much. It sure is different with her gone, but we are all surviving and getting into a routine. Caylyn cries a lot in the evening for about 2 hours so that is really hard, but I know it will get better soon. We try every baby contraption we own to soothe her, but most of the time nothing works. On the bright side, when she is done crying and is fed and bathed (she doesn't really like that either) she will sleep for about 5 hours. I guess it is a trade off!

That's it for now. Hopefully we will have some Halloween pictures on here soon. Take Care!
