Caylyn's Birthday

Caylyn has arrived! She came into the world at 10:38pm on September 20th.
She weighed 6lbs 15oz and is 19.75" long. I was only in labor for a couple of hours so we are glad we decided to have her at home ahead of time. Our midwives arrived here at 9:20pm and she was born a little over an hour later. We are so blessed to be able to have her at home and in the bathtub. She's our little mermaid!

Caleb is so excited to have his little sister here. He loves and kisses on her constantly. He is always asking where she is and what she is doing and why she is crying.
We are all doing really well and Caylyn is already gaining weight! We love her so much already and can't wait for you all to meet her.
Well, that is it for now . Check back soon for more pictures and an update.

The Waiting Game

Ten days to our due date and we are all getting a little anxious. I believe we have all been nesting in our own ways. Chili Cheese Fries is how I am handling my impatience. It seems to work pretty well actually!
Brian and I are enjoying having my mom here to help out. We went on a date on Saturday to a Greek Restaurant at the harbor. We had so much fun and we took some pictures before we left the house. These will be the last belly shots! Not really feeling like posing for pictures, but we did get a few good ones.

Take care everyone! Check back after the baby is born. I am sure I will have a ton of pictures to post.

Fun in August!

Well August was a very fun month. The weather here has been so beautiful and we have really been enjoying picnics at the park and playing in the sprinkler in our back yard.

Caleb and I took a trip to San Diego to see Danielle who was there for a wedding. We had such a good time and I was glad to have some quality one on one time with Caleb before the baby comes. We went to the zoo, played in the pool, rode the trolley, and did a lot of walking.

We were also able to stop at IKEA on the way down to San Diego. We picked up a few things for Caleb's new BIG BOY bedroom. The transformation is now complete and he absolutely loves it. He is so excited to be able to get out of bed in the morning on his own and come down stairs. He is so sweet. Now, I wake up every morning to his smiling face instead of hearing him yell "MOMMY" a hundred times.

My friends Karen, Dana, and Dena held an awesome baby shower for me this month. It was so beautiful and we all had such a great time. We were given a lot of the necessities we needed and some fun things too. We are truly blessed to have such caring friends.

That's it for August. It has been a great month, but now we are just looking forward to the birth of our baby girl. When will she get here? I am 37 weeks now and in the "safe zone" for delivery. I have had a lot of contractions this week and I am very uncomfortable and tired, so I am really ready for her to arrive. We will keep you updated and hopefully while my mom is here I will have a chance to update our web page again with some pictures of Caylyn. Until then, take care!
